One of my favorite moments in the show will always be Barney's movie in "A Star Is Burns." Hidden depths, indeed.

I'm a quarter of the way through The Cuckoo's Calling. Classic Rowling. And I read a great article by Nathan Rabin at The Dissolve about Avatar. Remember that movie?

I started reading this book a few days ago. It was… okay.

I adore Much Afraid, but If I Left the Zoo is their first album I fell in love with. It's risky and thrilling and experimental in a way you don't normally see in Christian music, with sly, satirical lyrics and instrumentation that seems designed to evoke the psychedelic era of the late '60s. Plus, it has two or three

By the way, did y'all see Cosby made a joke about rape tonight? Get ready for an epic O'Neal post tomorrow.

Probably Jars of Clays' second or third album. That, or "What's the Story (Morning Glory)?".

Does it come with apps and zerts?

It works on so many levels!

Ethan Hawke? Cerebral time travel? Everything about this looks awesome.

And why was Thranduil riding a moose? I realize that with all the other problems in this movie, that shouldn't have bugged me, but it really bugged me.

And that part where Sauron appeared in his Eye form and all nine of the Ring Wraiths were suddenly standing in it? I wish I was joking??

Apparently it's "Make Viewers Question Their Own Sanity" week at the AV Club.

No, Hamlet ends with Hamlet waking up on a bus.

The lancet fluke is on my short list of creatures that make me question the existence of a loving God.

I've got my fingers crossed that the trailer for the new Pixar movie was just emphasizing hacky, sitcom humor to try and get people interested, and that the actual film will be as engaging and revelatory as classic Pixar.

I'm actually cautiously optimistic about the new Star Wars movie. It can't be worse than what we've gotten. Though I'm much more excited about Rian Johnson's Star Wars Episode VIII. Here's hoping for a new Empire Strikes Back.

I thought that happened when they tried to melt a statue all over Smaug.
