Now what we really need is for someone to figure out how long a "life of man" is and thus, multiplying by 300, the exact age of Gandalf.

"I'm 87."
Oh, I was referring to Arrested Development.
"Actually, I *like* eight-year-old boys."
I love how that episode is re-visited in the "Telethon" episode in Season 2 of Parks & Rec.
Phoebe was the Luna Lovegood of '90s comedy.
So tonight we've learned that everyone LOVES that episode with the quiz show but no one knows what it's called.
Seasons 1-3, definitely.
Wait, Phoebe got married? I remember skipping most of the last season but tuning in for the last episode and wondering why they left her and Joey single.
Normally the release of new superhero films doesn't excite me, but Joss Whedon is basically a genius and his ambition for this new movie seems to be boundless.
Parks and Rec, Season 7? Yes!
T-T-TRANSPONSTER!!!
I finished Poirot Season 1, I made a list of 65 books I want to read in the next year, and I read most of Looking for Alaska. It's fantastic.
I don't think I had noticed Alvvays until sometime around mid-December when I realized four of their songs had just shown up on my favorite songs of the year playlist. Their music is so pleasant. Even if it is virtually indistinguishable from Allo Darlin'.
Just a few days ago I learned about the - apparently widespread - theory that Tesla's machine didn't actually work within the movie. Would anyone else care to weigh in on this? I remember Keith Phipps seemingly alluding to it in an article a few years ago.
The last two novels in the trilogy aren't bad by any means, but the first is genuinely great.
At least it looks like we're getting that BBC adaptation of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell this year. This is a great time to pick up the novel for anyone who hasn't read it yet.
But can you imagine the headlines on the day after he actually dies?
It works on so many levels!
