It's better because Spotify doesn't allow you to upload songs. If Spotify doesn't have it in their library, you're pretty much screwed. Google Music and iTunes allow you to upload from other sources, including importing CDs. I have several albums that aren't on Spotify, which makes it a deal breaker for me.
