I think the point of the comic is that this cable is the result of there being 15 standards.

From what I've read, that's the space where they keep the electronics for the front-facing speakers.

Same here. Been using it since around 2002 and I use it professionally every day. And I'm still learning about things it can do.

Microsoft is still suffering from an identity crisis. They released their mobile OS too late in the game to attract any developers and as a result are stretching Windows desktop so thin that it's trying to be too many things without actually being really good at any. I don't want a desktop OS bloated to the rim with

It's Comcast. They can't even get mocking right.

When did he specifically mention Apple's earbuds? "Earbuds" is a generic term to describe in-ear headphones. It's not specific to Apple.

I actually had pair of headphones like that in the 90's. Not these exactly, but the same basic idea:

This what I keep thinking. As much as I want to tell companies to stop trying to make smartglasses happen, we have to realize that these are just baby steps to an eventual product that people will want to wear. Cell phones didn't start off fitting in your pocket.

The Facebook lottery scam that was going around a while ago. One of your "friends" messages you on Facebook telling you to enter the Facebook lottery to win $200,000 and you have to give out some personal information to do so. Most blatant scam ever. But if one of your "friends" messages you about it, it means they

Yeah, but would you pay $300 - $400 just for a daily driver?

This. It looks fancy compared to the small selection of smartwatches that are currently on the market, but not compared to the type of watch you'd normally wear with a suit. For $400 (or whatever this thing is going to cost), you could buy a damn nice looking mechanical watch to wear with a suit.

I never had that big of a memory leak. Do you have a ton of extensions and add-ons installed? The only time I ever had a big problem with Firefox was caused by a rogue extension. As soon as I deleted it, Firefox ran just fine.

How? It's extremely fast, uses very little RAM or battery, has all the extensions I need, never crashes, and isn't part of some ultra-data mining ecosystem. It's pretty much exactly what a browser should be.

Try Oceanhorn. It's basically a Zelda ripoff, but it's a great game.

I'm not too picky about mobile browsers so much as I am with desktop ones. But I do want to sync up things like bookmarks and readings lists so it's either use Safari on mobile, or use Chrome on desktop. And the latter is not happening.

I havn't had Chrome on my computer for a while. I almost wanted to re-download it just to see how much memory it's using, then immediately thought, "Yeah, no. I'm not dealing with that shit". Safari has been working beautifully and I have no reason to go back.

Yeah, aesthetically speaking, Safari 8 is easily the best. Chrome is horrible in that area. At least Firefox gives you more control over the aesthetics than Chrome does. But after using Safari 8, I just can't go back to either. I just now fired up Firefox for the first time in months and there was lag just from

I switched to Chrome about a year ago, used it for about 6 months, then switched back to Firefox. It's much less of a memory/battery hog and much more customizable than Chrome. Unless you're heavily invested in the Google ecosystem, there's really no reason to use Chrome. It's a very overrated browser.

Damn, I'm about to order one of those right now.

The only thing I have connected in USB is my keyboard and that always stays plugged in so it really doesn't matter if it's in the back. For anything else, I have two USB ports in the side of my keyboard. I'd rather not have a bunch of ugly wires and dongles sticking out the front of my monitor. If anything, I'd
