Wow, the anti-trans bigotry is strong in that one.

The real dangerr is not Trump’s incompetent version of an attempted coup, it is when the competent fascist inevitably follows in his footsteps. If you crush the incompetent fascists quickly, the competent ones always scuttle out of the darkness and learn from the mistakes made. That is the danger, and it is one not

Pelosi was bitter, and mad and standing on principle, and I can tell you this as someone who has gone hungry on many nights as a teen: a honeybun on the table now beats the promise of a steak tomorrow.

Affirmative action! We clearly have a quota system for black lady vice presidents!!!

In what fucking universe do you have to live in to think being a black woman in America is some automatic rocket to the top of society!? Harris was the second black woman senator in US history. She’s only the fourth woman to ever be on the ticket of a major party, and only the second African American (3–0 BTW) No

Right. It’s really tough to see how they wrap this up into a single issue the Court could use to save him. There has to be an overarching rationale, and there just isn’t one.

Wow Van missed a lot there. He’s right that the concession speech is good for national unity, but misses that it doesn’t mean anything legally. States are going to validate their elections. Some will have recounts as permitted by law. Trump can sue (and has). None of that will make a substantial difference.

The Witches, if you’ve read the story or watched either film adaptation, are not humans nor is this their religion.

I’m conflicted. On the one hand, I don’t think The Witches was implying - at all - that physical abnormalities cause the sufferer to become evil. On the other, you rarely (if ever) see someone with a physical abnormality portrayed as an average joe in pop culture. If you see them at all, it’s usually the focus and

Yeah, that was implied. I don’t fault them for this, either. I’m all for emulation for older consoles, but I don’t support it for active markets. It’s literally just piracy then, with no redeeming factors. No one plays “homebrews”.

Not only is it not a long dead console, it’s one where currently Nintendo charges a monthly fee for the ability to play online. There’s no way Nintendo would have just turned their head and pretended to not see it.

Emulators of older consoles did it so people could play multiplayer “on the same console”, which is ofc far from what this tried to do.

That, and said emulators only added online play either A: when the console itself had no such function, i.e. netplay, or B: after the online functionality for the console had already ceased.

No legal grey area. It's illegal.

What’s not to get?

While *some* people are using Yuzu for stuff like homebrew, the vast majority are using it to emulate roms of games they haven’t bought for a system they don’t own.

If the Switch was discontinued and its online services shut down, it wouldn’t be a big deal, but it isn’t, and allowing online via an

I think there might be variations in what the weights are doing in different sash windows?

Killjoy!

It could just be that the window is old and sticky, so when then sun hits the wood the right way it warms and expands enough to let the window open, while most of the time it’s too stuck to slide easily?

After seeing it, I’m inclined to believe that this is just an old window with lead sash weights. The ropes and pulleys are probably shot. What’s likely happening here is the weights eventually coming loose and literally pulling the window open as they come down. Spooky, but not paranormal.

You never told your partner about your creepy-ass uncle that stalked you and terrorized your town for your entire life? Or who you saw weird reminders of after his death all the way in NYC? Each of your aunts and uncles never came up once?
