Great, now they can move on the scripted cop shows. Cop shows (NYPD Blue, Law and Order, CSI, most superhero shows) are all the propaganda cops could ask for, and they demonstrably influence society’s expectations and values relating to law enforcement.

In fairness to the police though, I think PoC need to consider what it would be like to be described as thugs and vilified in the press and abandoned by their legislators. Why, I bet that would upset them a lot if it ever happened to them.

It took hard, stupid, active effort to be a shittier paper than the Tribune Review.

FINALLY! The new Deadspin wrote something worth readi...

would these “medical professionals” have advised them to do the same thing?”

Pretty sure that’s just Playtex, the brand who sells the tampons and the baby products, Fabletics is the Hudson one.

Brands can sell more than one thing... That brand also has nothing to do with Kate Hudson.

Kate Hudson’s company is Fabletics; she has nothing to do with Playtex Baby, which sells bottles and diaper disposal units.

Hugs to you, Katie. You can take comfort in the fact that you are morally superior than these fools.

Not just racist but stupid and probably not even able to get a chuckle out of a Klan member. By God if they must be bigots at least have some creativity. Pretend that you've been cannibalizing black people and now are possessed by the ghost of the person you consumed and are compelled to carry out a bunch of

And, as usual with these idiots, there is not even anything remotely recognizable as a “joke” or “humor.” Like, if you’re going to risk your reputation being a racist asshole, at least make it worth your while.

I definitely agree with that. I will say that her sanctuary is accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries and Doc Antle’s and Joe Exotic’s never were and never could be. She is not breeding cubs for profit and Big Cat Rescue has a 100% score on Charity Navigator. After doing some digging I’ve come to my

Carole’s husband was most likely involved in drug trafficking, an “industry” notorious for “disappearances” exactly like what happened to Carole’s husband. She couldn’t say as much because she knew exactly what was going on and didn’t want to be associated with knowing about that. Going to Costa Rica once a month

It was not mentioned in the documentary, which is why he is being misgendered all over the place. [Another one of the reasons my overall beef with the series is how poorly it handled LGBTQ issues]

There’s also the fact that the disappeared husband advised more than one person that he was getting ready to divorce her...

I have no idea whether this lady killed her husband or not, but there is NO STANDARD OF GRIEF. No one has to act a certain way after their spouse dies, and no one in that state owes it to anyone to put on a show to prove they are or are not sad.

True, but the difficulty with circumstantial evidence is that it requires a more balanced approach. If the show had provided at least some information why law enforcement couldn’t take their claims as truth, which has been reported elsewhere, then there would be more honest weight given to that circumstantial

“If literally one thing goes wrong—if the team needs to call for help or a tow truck, if they get stopped, if they crash—literally anything goes wrong here and these guys would be pulling resources from an otherwise already overloaded system, not to mention potentially increasing the risk of contracting

Why would he enforce store policy anyway?
