I heard an interview w/Laurie Metcalf on NPR where she basically waved it all off saying that she thinks this is just a persona that Roseanne puts on. All I could think was, is that supposed to make it OK?
When you have to demand loyalty, you don’t deserve it. Nothing Roseanne ever did for these people mean they have to go along with anything she says.
Indeed, she CHEATED on Joshua Jackson with Norman Reedus. No accounting for taste.
Wickstead is actually popular with the entire Royal Family, not just Kate, and Meghan has already worn custom Emilia Wickstead (like a week before the wedding maybe?), so this seems... unwise on Wickstead’s part.
Whatever that even means, I’m sure it’s oily and making too much constant eye contact.
Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales held a presser this evening and released a statement apologizing for the unnecessary force used on Brown.
He became particularly sure of his feelings for her when she started dating someone else.
they can just go fuck themselves. the show isn’t even that funny. also i perused the article (will not read thoroughly cuz again, fuck them) and the most reasonable quote is from Alia Shawkat who is only quoted twice in the whole damn circle jerk of a “conversation”:
And also, I found the father/uncle to be the most boring/annoying characters on the show. It would be better without Tambor. (And BTW, I’ve hated him since the first time I saw him. Once again, gut instincts FTW!)
Jeffrey Tambor is 73 FUCKING YEARS OLD! How much more damn time does he need in order to learn/grow into a person who behaves in a respectful and professional manner?
This part was rough to read too:
He said “yeah. I did that” after he spent more than a decade denying that he did that.
Yeah this is one of TV’s worst tropes... the ever redeemable racist/sexist/homophobe with a heart of gold finally meets the model minority that makes him reconsider the humanity of others. Then they’re celebrated!
When my daughter was inducted into National Junior Honor Society this year, I started to notice that the boys walked in alone, but the girls were all escorted by the boys. OH HELL NO! I was so irate, but I tried to set it aside for the moment, so that I could enjoy a proud moment for my daughter who had worked so…
In a restaurant full of people, he chose to publicly shame and threaten some people who spoke Spanish, and could have actually ruined their lives if he had followed through with calling ICE. And when this video came out, it became clear that he had done this type of stuff before. He isn’t a victim, and this sentiment…
Counterpoint: Public shaming may be the tool most appropriate to change not only his behavior, but that of the next racist.
lmao you think i don’t already have like three jobs, come on man
Well, at least he’s not playing video games I guess.
