Yes, Simone and Zack 4Eva (though frankly, she could do better bc, hello she is Simone Biles). Separately, I think swimmer Nathan Adrien and Laurie Hernandez who both have such great smiles would have the cutest, SMILIEST babies. But he’s too old for her so maybe I should just have him.

She does it with class, in a manner of fact way, it’s not cocky. Reminds me of when Federer was at the top of his game and he would say something to the effect of “Yes, I am the best.” She shouldn’t have to do the false “you’re too kind” denial.

Okay, they should have shown it before, but they are airing it right now (tail end of Primetime broadcast)

That GD Phelps countdown clock. Real great sports coverage there. “And now, we see Michael phelps walking from the warmup pool and putting on his headphones.” THANKS, NBC, SO GRIPPING.

Thx, was not trying to derail the thread or look for attention, just venting and trying to commiserate with the obviously much more serious/horrible offense in the article. Just...stop it, men (not all men)! Was reading some of the other comments below which set me off bc the undercurrent of some people seems to be

This story and your post made me remember this time in college when a lacrosse player had said something mean to me, then goes “I’m sorry, give me a hug.” I reluctantly gave him the hug, and then he locked his arms and wouldn’t release me until I said “shelter” (which I initially refused to do). Men can be such

Good to know, will give him another try soon.

He does the “little” insult to guys, too though. Called Rubio “Little Marco” forever and recently called another guy I can’t remember “little” whoever. It is juvenile and part of his revolting bully approach, but in this one teeny limited instance, he does this to guys as well.

Didn’t see it, I usually try his Daily Show every few weeks, and it just isn’t particularly funny or incisive. I wanted to like him, he was a good correspondent, just meh.

I saw that, too. I think probably Trump still gets the nomination, but it’s still a great question. And agreed, at the minimum Stewart would have impacted the conversation.

I know, the animated show, but it's not the SAME! *throws childlike temper tantrum*

Oh this just makes me so sad we don’t have Jon Stewart right now. Oliver and Bee are great, but there is still a void which is felt so keenly bc of the utter bullshit of this election year.

Blech, sorry to hear that, too! I feel so bad for the athletes who injure themselves during the games! This guy, that cyclist, and several male gymnasts. I am a sucker for all things Olympics and it makes me weepy for them.

I also enjoy the phrasing “throw up on my own dick.” As opposed to throwing up on someone else’s dick? I know I’m reading into it something that isn’t there it just makes me giggle.

Congrats on making it out! I am keeping my fingers crossed that eventually I will have that same result! Being ungreyed, that is. I have dislocated my shoulder and in addition to the staggering, searing pain, with it out of socket you look like Wil E. Coyote after being run over.

Haha, me too! Bookended my day with green smoothie breakfast, and kale salad dinner, middle was filled with delicious fatty Panera soup and sandwich with all the cheese, carbs, and sodium. Om nom nom.

It makes me so happy that they have nachos at most movie theaters. Popcorn has its place, but oh, delicious cheesy nachos I love you.

Nonono, it's the SPICY kind. Similar to velveeta, but so much better.

I searched “nacho cheese” earlier this week on Amazon because I wanted nachos. Not fancy nachos with real grated cheese, but the kind of gelatinous cheese that comes in a gallon-sized tin. Search results were unsatisfactory.

Good to know, thx! And blerg, spending money on un-fun adult things.
