As other have said, no you really don’t. I’ve watched a bunch of this idiots “Change My Mind” videos and he’s basically a Ben Shapiro clone (only with a normal sized head)

“First to blame Hillary for Bryan Adams”
My thoughts exactly.
IANAL but I’m thinking this has an exactly 0% chance of holding up in court, *any* court. If the non-appropriation of funds followed by the “emergency” deceleration happened 2 years ago it might have, but after all the bullshit that’s happened in that time...no fucking way
Many times I’ve tried to make that kind of point to right-wingers. Spoiler alert: they never get it
I think that’s why right-wingers are freaking/lashing out at AOC so damn hard. They just can’t reconcile their attraction to her with the dislike of her policies and it’s breaking their brains
The only way that would happen is if it were coded into employment law, there’s no way companies would do it voluntarily. I would say it’s more important, first, to codify into law that all employees are allocated some amount of PTO. Otherwise, companies that don’t give any still won’t and, potentially, companies that…
I can’t work in my underwear or blow fuses in the building because that would actually violate various policies. As soon as my company mandates that I take all my PTO, I’ll do exactly that, and would probably be pissed off about it for a while until I got used to it
I would have a huge issue with that, but it’s not what’s happening. I’m simply choosing (for personal reasons) to not use all 19.5 (15 vacation, 3 comp, 1.5 paid personal) days I’m allotted currently, not including sick time which I’ve also only needed to use twice in the last 9 years
That’s why it doesn’t make sense though, I’d still be getting paid for all 365 days (or 200 whatever since I’m hourly and have weekends off). The only difference is I wouldn’t be working for those 10 days
I would still disagree that that constitutes a “pay cut” as I’m getting paid the same amount to work or sit on my couch and the company is paying out the same amount
I would agree if the job is necessary to keep the business functioning but what I’m doing (quality assurance in a call center) is not. If I’m not here, or not everything gets done in a given month, it’s not going to stop anything else from getting done
Exactly. I’m the only one who does my job at the company I work for so if I’m not there I just have to finish it later. Plus the work itself is month to month i.e. stuff for February has to be done by the end of February so when I take a week off it just means I have to work harder the rest of the month.
Fuck that noise! I don’t think I’ve ever used all my time off in the almost 9 years I’ve been at my job, but there’s a reason. I’m the only one who does my job so when I do take time off it just makes the work pile up while I’m gone.
I would think live police chases would be above football too, no?
Semi off-topic: I was driving around with some friends once and we saw a billboard for LDS with a black guy on it. One of them remarked, “Black people can be Mormon?”
Are you me? I do the same thing with almost everything he says
That’s why I’m *soooo* glad I was able to move over to QA. Now all I do is sit around listening to everyone else talking on the phone (and internet browsing while doing so) because no one really gives a shit what I’m doing so long as the work is getting done
“you call him Hancock”
That’s why I love the Church of Satan people, they almost always get these idiots to back down once they realize it applies to *all* religions
