Or if they really believe that any doctor in existence would perform an abortion at that point on a completely healthy kid.

I keep trying to explain to anti-choicers that the government that says “You *can’t* have an abortion” is the same government that has the authority to say “You *must* have an abortion.”

My thoughts exactly. It drives me crazy when I hear right-wingers bleating about how going to a national popular vote would mean that Dems would be be in power forever. They never seem to stop and think that *maybe* they should adjust their policy positions to appeal to more people so they’d vote for them then
