through all of that it’s taught me how to be a Wizard

Reporter: “C’mon Dwight, nothing more wizard-y to say, like maybe how you were pulled into the abyss by a Balrog, but emerged triumphant?”

Do you not realize that teams have the options to fine their own players, thus effectively passing it on to them?  Like, it’s right there in the article.

I’m sure some owners have made it abundantly clear to their players that they’ll be passing any such fines on to the players.

Alas, none of this is actually about the flag. It’s about keeping the uppity...

Only implied oral consent.

Instead of a miracle, I guess I consider it more a combination of factors working in their favor. The style of play, the softer side of the bracket, and opponents maybe underestimating them a bit helped, especially when they were really good to begin with.

The Yinzer take is “James Connor is better anyways.”

0 years, it is already dumb.

The bad news is that Trump just agreed to look the other way while Putin annexes France and Croatia, in an effort to boost Russia’s national team.

“I think we have got to measure people by the sum total of their life, not a remark.”

is KCP the manna in this analogy, or is he the one upon whom a miraculous shit-ton of bread descended?

This is a bad and wrong take. Each team was going for it. The goalies played out of their respective minds, and neither team lacked ambition until roughly the 75th minute, after which France admittedly went into a bit of a shell. Even then, there were still great Belgian attacks and French counterattacks.

Hell, I’m a defense attorney, and would acknowledge (off the record of course) that they are almost always true.  Like ALMOST ALWAYS.  Truly false, bogus allegations are made occasionally, but not very often.  Not very often at all.  Flip side of coin, most are exaggerated to some degree, but there is an underlying

Actually, I prefer them not to remain hidden. Domestic violence and partner violence are hidden enough already. I prefer to see what “falling down some stairs” or “it was just an argument” really looks like.

To paraphrase Micheal Che, Gohmert and Jordan using the troubled past of some of the accusers as a bludgeon to impugn their testimony is kind of like looking at someone you molested when they were a child, and saying “boy, did you turn out weird!”

Recently leaked cellphone video of the same animal control officer capturing a pig.

The only thing I can think of—and with a lake worth of salt behind this possible explanation—is that he was trying to provoke a reaction, maybe to test the strength of the bindings around the mouth, or to (somehow) make it clear to the animal there was no way it could escape.
