I’m kind of disappointed that they made Beta a mental patient. In the comics he’s a famous NBA player. It really kind of sold the idea that anyone could become that damaged.

As a Volvo guy (there are dozens of us! Dozens!) Geely’s ownership has been amazing. Obviously there was a lot of trepidation at first, being the first major western car company bought up by the Chinese. But right from the get go Geely just opened up the checkbook and gave management the space, support and freedom to Read more

Exactly - it’s not inadequate, at any rate. It’s not like Elise owners bought their cars because of the car’s ability to pummel straight roads into submission.

If it is anything as the 1.0L 3-cylinder that Ford made that would be amazing.  That little engine was rumored to be a feat for Ford and it could wind out over 175 HP from some forced induction and a couple of tweaks.

(Six and eight cylinder - unless there’s a monster Benz I don’t know about). Otherwise, good article - and the turbocharged inline three from the XC40 T3 could be adequate for a new Elise - only about 160hp, but that should be fine in a sub-ton car, and it's mated to a manual transmission.

Try listening instead of mansplaining. Everyone knows why you have a problem with it. Everyone has heard the same arguments about a movie that came out almost two years ago ad nauseam. Read more

Snakehead fish are terrifying. A few years back, a friend of mine agreed to go to someone’s apartment to feed their fish while they were gone. I went along, thinking I’d see something pretty or exotic. NOPE. My friend opened the top of the aquarium and the fucking thing JUMPED OUT and started slithering around on the Read more

Much as I loathe the K-car Daytonas (from being forced to work on them) I bet a ‘92 IROC R/T with the 224hp Turbo III mill would be a hoot on a track, properly set up.

Fun fact: Both the Conquest and Starion were sold in the US. The Conquest is definitely more common, but LHD drive Starions were here and available.

Saw a Z8 at a gas station a couple years ago.  Complimented the owner on his car.  Owner was an asshole.  kind of killed the experience for me.

If you ever find yourself in the tourist trap that is Gatlinburg, Tennessee, go to the Hollywood Star Cars Museum. They actually have some pretty cool rides, including one of the Eleanor GT500s from Gone In 60 Seconds, one of the few surviving original General Lees, some cars from Fast & Furious, an BTTF DeLorean,

The best part of the Goldeneye Z3 is they didn't bother to use it at all, pretty much drove down a dirt road briefly.
