It’s based on the percentage of value, this isn’t the annual registration, this new car tax sold for whatever state. .

Actually dipshit, you don’t know that since you’ve never seen his tax return. Oh wait! Let’s just assume he’s telling the truth, since he has a history of not lying! Oh wait! There’s this!

Wut. This is just people avoiding paying what is effectively sales tax on a purchase/registration. If you don’t like the law, change it or move. And the cars aren’t being taxed again as new, they’re being taxed at their current market or transaction values as far as I can tell.

Actually, it’s pretty clear that Trump engaged in tax evasion.

Fun Fact: If you live in Montana, you can register your car in Montana without creating a tax-avoidance LLC.

Or clone yourself!  The 1% have limitless options!

And then stay in Oregon. And definitely don’t wander down I5 doing 5 under in the left lane. *shakes fist at pine tree plate*

Fuck that noise. To minutes on GA’s tax calculator makes it look like it’s a rough 8-9% tax. If Joe Blow has to pay 9% on a $17k Hyundai you can pay 9% on your supercar.

If you can afford those super cars you can afford the taxes.

Well, if the owners are shorting GA to the tune of $10k a pop, one a month per investigator would make it revenue neutral. But that’s a shitty metric for whether or not fraud should be investigated and be punished.

Is anybody still on the side of the GOP?

I don’t care if they call them butthole headlights I just want this car!

It’s really refreshing to see an honest-to-goodness wagon again. The rear end is a perfect fusion of styling cues from Volvos past and present.

Do they let you sleep in the garage in NYC?

Detroit is an airport, not a city.

BUT THE FREEDOMZ!

This is never not appropriate:

This. This. 1000 times this.

If you only lived and experienced those days when no one expected cars to ever return to high performance. This was the beginning of the rebirth of performance. Things got much better as technology advanced with electronic fuel and spark management systems, things that could not be done before without that technology

There isn’t a snowballs chance in hell of that car doing 0-60 in 4.74 seconds.
