I didn’t buy the game, but not buying the game isn’t going to do anything to stop legislation. You shouldn’t justify harassment, justifying harassment is what leads to people born into different situations creating legislation that acts to restrict the bodily autonomy of individuals.

Playing the game has nothing to do with it and attacking people over it is not winning anything at all. I guarantee mose of the people doing this have added nothing to the fight for trans rights. I vote for it, pay into it, and am myself gender fluid and was unsure of being trans and I even try to help the community

I saw some of the stuff being thrown at Pikamee, it definitely wasn’t “just threatening to unsub”. In both her original tweet and her reply she was constantly called a transphobe, told to off herself, sent death threats, told that she was directly killing trans people, and had trans and ‘ally’ accounts celebrate her

What I find even worse is that she has previous history with bulling, due to her being only half Japanese and having blonde hair color. She’s shy and introverted due to how bad she was treated and started streaming to be part of a community.

I don’t know who this person was/is or what they did that entertained people but I find it incredibly disturbing that people think harassing them into retirement is in anyway just. Cancel culture has been co-opted by insane people.

I decided to click on the trending tab and take a look at this for myself for some ungodly reason, and holy shit, the amount of people who were “calling for war” as they put it, against trans folks over this and literally hoping people would kill themselves over the harassment was *insane*. It was the most brain

I can’t say I’d give a shit about it.

It’s funny how all of the slurs for white people that white people know were invented by white people to describe white people and weren’t even slurs to begin with. If that’s not white supremacy, I don’t know what is.

It’s more the weirdos who think cracker is somehow equivalent to the N word because they want to create a justification for saying the N word

Yeah, anyone who claims they’re offended by “cracker” is actually just mad that they can’t use the n-word.

Its more, white people get mad because they desperately want something to be offended over so things are “equal”

as an old white man, I have never ever found any white person ever offended by being called a cracker. Its is so lame, and has always been lame. Its not offensive its weak and stupid.

That’s fuckin funny.

Being a native Mandarin talker, it literally just means “fish that loves eating cat” to me. Google search doesn’t come up with anything either

Ah, look, I found him! It’s the token “Everybody else needs to lighten up like me, the guy who’s too cool for school” post.

What you’re doing is leaving little room for nuance. Sure, capture the pigeon, the Italy mission (though I haven’t played it yet) and such may be a bit eye-rolling. I would concede to that. But it can’t be denied that the game is pushing for something more; it is trying to, God forbid, make a point, which is pretty

The hill you’ve chosen is stranger. Where I simply want to encourage the idea that even a AAA FPS can strive for something more in its artistic expression (stumble as it may), you’re buckling down on your thesis that, no, it can’t be anything more. It’s just fun.

“Games are made to be fun.”

I have not gotten to the Italy campaign, so obviously before. The game’s prologue alone is a great step in the right direction - it’s even important, I would say, in that it at least does SOMETHING to reign back the disturbing fetishization of warfare that’s plagued the medium for years.

You’re misrepresenting his argument. The point was that “entertainment,” even when it’s enjoyable, does not always equate to “fun.” Not hard to understand.
