Honestly, as long as my data is aggragated, I don’t care. If it specifically calls me out for being obsessed with Peyronie’s disease, then I’ll have a problem.

A mistake that many people make in discussing AI is that it is presented as monolithic.  There will be a variety of AI systems with different priorities and goals often conflicting and in opposition to one another.

I actually really liked Reign.  The story and the art were top notch.  Focusing on the semen is trivial when the point was that Peter carried the guilt of being responsible for Mary Jane’s death.

Good. Tim Sweeney is a horrible human and I don’t want his pathetic store on my phone.

“These companies need to take these problems seriously,” Friedman said. “It’s not about shutting down AI globally, it’s about living with it in a way that respects human creators and that helps protect them from what some of these bad actors are going to do with the technology.”

That makes me very sad.  More for the cows than for humans.  Humans suck.

They don’t need their specifically colored masks anymore.

My feeling is that the only good FF movie that ever existed (in reality or potentiality) was the one Peyton Reed pitched to Fox in the early 2000s, which would’ve been a period piece set in the ‘60s, reuniting Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor from Reed’s previous hit Down With Love.

That is my worry as well.

I hope you are right.  I worry that they will fire the creative folks and just try to force feed viewers slop.

I should be clear that I am on the side of the writers and unions.  I belong to a union.  I picketed yesterday.  I just worry that the greedy corporations will fire all of the creative people that are the heart of the industry and the viewers will be left with slop.

What if the strike doesn’t end? What if the AMPTP decides reality TV and algorithmically generated content is the way to go?

It reminded me of “The Conscience of the King” also. Surprised Whitbrook didn’t mention the obvious parallels and even said “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ fondness for exploring old ideas and structures doesn’t just rely on an affection for the original Star Trek.”  Maybe he hasn’t watched the original series?

We get it, James.  You do not like episodic storytelling.  Can you accept that SNW is episodic and move past that?  Some of us are sick of serialized television.

While it is unfortunate that A.I. is being used by corporations to replace human workers, I think that we should be cautious about vilifying A.I. It may not be sentient yet, but one day it might be and our potential cruelty to sentient A.I. would be very regrettable.

While I agree that it is best Batman movie ever, not everyone will feel the same. And since it is a matter of opinion, I think your choice of headline is unfortunate.

Yost is awesome.  Will watch.

Sorry you lost your father to disinformation.

Indeed. Moon Knight was one of the few good things in phase 4. The rest, I generally agree with.
