Damn, fuck the police just took on a whole new meaning.

If there was a tumblr for these, I would never work again.
First of all, can I just say that of all the missionaries, Mormon missionaries are the best dressed? Second, awww,…
I think in this case naming them was important. First, because they came forward and wanted others to come forward, too (if anonymously). Second, as someone upthread said, coming forward and giving their names fights the stigma that survivors of sexual assault should be ashamed of it and keep quiet.
This show was better when it was called "Carnivale" and ended before anyone could figure out what the hell was going on.

Um, as someone who has IBS, I just want to say that it's often anything but mild. Before I figured out my trigger foods, I basically couldn't leave the house for a year. Yes, it's a very different condition from Crohn's or UC, but calling it 'mild' feels a little insensitive.
Yup. And I feel for every commenter here with IBD but when they say that IBS is "just unpleasant" it vastly underestimates what it can be like in the middle of a flareup.
First off, sorry for the non-opaque ostomy bag. I never got opaque ones for some reason. But I had an ileostomy for about four years. One Halloween I decided to have fun with it because I was going to a party where I didn't know many people. I decided to literally paint a big target around my ostomy bag and tell…
I'm right there with you and I'm sorry for what you're going through. The idea that IBS is only mildly unpleasant is so off the mark.
Should have said "than you MAY think"???
Irritable Bowel Syndrome is NOT caused by stress.
You may find it belittling but there is a lot of research looking into possible links. I'm sorry if that is hurtful. Just because there is evidence showing some possible links doesn't make the 2 the same thing. The illnesses of others should not diminish your own illness, or your experience.
My brother killed himself over the shame of having to wear a colostomy bag thanks to Crohns. I think images like this would have helped him feel more normal and less like he couldn't go anywhere because he had to "wear his shit in a fanny pack".
Just a note as a patient with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. it's mild only in that there is no physical damage to the intestines. But having to quit my job, and the excruciating pain brought on by flare ups, as well as the people who think you're faking it because there's no way to prove oversensitive nerves and chronic…
Just a quick note...It's Inflammatory Bowel Disease....Irritable Bowl disease...is stress induced...vs. Inflammatory which is autoimmune.
