I’ll save everyone the trouble: The author is, in fact, an old white dude.

Sure it wasn't the other way around?

That's such an inoffensive thing to be caught saying on a hot mic. Relax, man!

Exactly — priorities.

No longer an inefficiency for whom? It's still a league-wide trend that on-base percentage corresponds with more offense. For the "market" to shift back toward the old days, something besides other teams adopting OBP would have to occur for it to be a worthwhile strategy to ignore OBP. There's such thing as adopting

Yeah, she's great. I'm 25, so I had no idea of knowing whether Mad Men was accurately showing the gender dynamics of the time — I mean it's so blatant I thought they had to be exaggerating to make a point. But no, my dad, who lived in New York at that time, said it was pretty spot on.

Kinda reminds me of Peggy in Mad Men.

Also, this list is missing every stout that Bell's Brewery makes, which are all the best.

It's not one of the leaders of the pack, but it's a solid pick. Brooklyn has a rich chocolate stout as one of their winter seasonals, if you want to try another. (And can find Brooklyn beer where you are)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had a negative experience with the Moo Thunder. Yuck. I've had probably about 100 porters and stouts in my life, and that one was one of the worst.

Overthinking is something a dumber person would do if they were trying to think like Bauer. But Bauer understands everything he's thinking about. He's also wonderful at explaining what he's thinking about.

Ahem.

Hell yes! Stout in summer to fuck with everybody!

Only if it's a woman with a strap-on. Otherwise that would be gay — which, ew.

This is what I love about the Internet, all right here.

I would just like to needlessly and self-servingly point out that Leviticus is part of the Hebrew Bible and we Jews have pretty much gotten over the "whole gay thing." We are super proud of this. Thanks.

That's why I included Pierre's CS rank relative to his SB rank. Henderson stole bases at an 80% clip. Pierre was at 75%. That's a pretty significant difference.

75% is not that great, especially for someone with his speed. He's 6th all-time in caught stealing, but only 18th in steals.

No argument there.
