I have a small backlog because I usually only buy games that I really want to play. My backlog is composed of games that I’ve started but haven’ finished yet. The reason is because some of them require more dedication - at least for me - and balance that “exclusivity” with family and work makes me postpone finishing…

I thought Kotaku already had an annual “backlog week/month” with at least one writer getting existential about the futility of it all.

Nah, the fact is that people who choose to emulate and pirate games were most likely never going to buy the games or systems. There have been numerous studies that have backed that up for the most part.

The thing is I don’t think any other company but Nintendo could have pulled it off.    The docking feature is a big sales point for the Switch but what sell that console is the games, especially the first party ones.  I feel like Sony and Microsoft would have never been able to get their teams to design games that run…

Oh god, I came here just to mention that. So many mods. So many, many mods. Something as simple as HP percentage being displayed was absolutely essential from some HNMs. Players have been “fixing” SE’s UIs for the past twenty years.
