Well, I mean, it’s not even like he’s the first President who used the N-word...

Calvin Harris is a fucking clown lol.

Nerd-dom in our culture is basically a scientific or a informed obsession with any specific thing, mostly a thing that is not mainstream. Robots and teddy bears - a bunch of albums with visuals based on that stuff, like in a sci-fi context like Kanye West’s Graduation was and the imagery of his other albums as well is

I got flagged by Comeonpoppet for expressing a dissenting opinion LOL

LOL did you just dismiss/flag me? Petty as F

I for one think Mindy Kaling should stop molesting children right now, and should never do it again!

I too HATED her book, but I really, really like her show. It’s very idiosyncratic and slightly crazy. I like that she has kind of created her own brand of satire - with a shallow, pop culture obsessed, slightly racist, entitled woman. I find that people often talk about her character on The Mindy Project or The Office

Jez would have written an pearl clutch-y article targeted at George instead of Schumer, and the people here pissed at Kaling would have been pissed at George instead of Schumer.

I did read it, and actually really liked it and did not find her to come across as an asshole (unlike sections of Amy Poehler’s book, which had a surprisingly harsh tone). Can I ask which parts you got that perception from? (Honestly asking, because I found her to be very relatable....but then again, I’m a total dick,

I read that book and I don’t think she came off as an asshole. Maybe I should re-read it...

Can you provide examples of things she wrote in her book that make her an asshole? I read it, can’t recall anything.

She really did write some of the best episodes (Diwali, Classy Christmas, BEN FRANKLIN), but sadly I’ve disliked everything Kaling has done since. She’s just so obnoxious, and not in a fun Kelly Kapoor kind of way. Her book was godawful.

I worked with her for one summer 2 years ago, & she’s supernice. She knows how to get shit done, but she isn’t rude about it.

This is weaksause pearl clutching at best..

I bet y’all would be LOVING this if Amy Schumer made the same joke.

I didn’t get the impression that it was a child abuse joke? I feel like the interviewer explained the movie in a kind of creepy way and she felt uncomfortable by his statement and added in “in a profoundly wholesome way” to be like “not inside an eleven year old like that.”

So how long until someobe starts a Twitter campaign to boycott Mindy, proving Jerry Seinfeld right again?

I love Mindy and you can’t stop me! Nyah nyah!

And I am supposed to be outraged by this and rake Mindy over the coals? Dear lord, it’s a joke. Go find actual child molesters to be outraged about. She’s funny.

Eh, tempest in a teapot, I say. I don’t think she was like, “I’m going to go for a huge laugh on this”; it was probably more “Oh, no, what did I just say? Better clarify.”
