oh you wouldn’t be able to afford it
“#rebelbutt”
i know
oh right, that thing where you point to grammar & syntax instead of actually talking about the matter at hand. gotta love that. not.
it’s Gandhi, not Ghandi
yeah k hon. try reading all her comments & then say that she hasn’t been completely ignoring all the valid criticisms of Madonna & instead replying to them with “SHUT UP TROLL” (literally) which is pretty darn aggressive to me.
like if you’re considering internet fame inflation, they’d be on the same level as the Backstreet Boys or NSync, whichever you prefer.
9, i would say
lol i wasn’t really talking about her tone, but the fact that she is aggressively overlooking Madonna’s bait-y bullshit. the majority of the criticism directed at Madonna is ageism but there is definitely valid criticism that Madonna could do with, which i have already mentioned in another comment. so like, some of…
I think we’re in agreement? the statue of Shiva is pretty meaningless in the context of a yoga studio. it’s a nice gesture at the best but orientalist claptrap at the worst.
There is a lot of ageism & sexism when people are talking about Madonna. Like with the ‘thirst’ thing. Most musicians promote themselves just as much, some do it insidiously & sneakily, but we don’t call them out on it bc they’re young & blonde as opposed old & blonde. But at the same time, all criticism of her isn’t…
i don’t think idols of Shiva are ‘religious baggage’, probably bc people aren’t studying the spiritual teachings of said god from the Vedas. Shiva is the first teacher of Yoga, so an idol of his makes sense, but isn’t Yoga ideally to be done outside, to the sun god? it’s a nice gesture, but that’s it, y’know? also idk…
esp since yoga that has been exported to the west is so completely distilled that it doesn’t retain any of the religious baggage. it’s...exercise. pretty much.
i agree with you...but like...less aggressively.
we’ve got good taste [cool dude with sunglasses emoji]
It’s eye-roll inducing. Like - if you want to shit on her, at least try a different angle instead of copy pasting the same goddamn shit over and over again.
Rita Ora put out a song that is arguably one of the best pop songs of 2014, I Will Never Let You Down. I don’t think she’s a particularly good actress, but she has the potential to be a good pop musician. & she’s huge in the UK. I Will Never Let You Down is great pop, the guitar riff is so good, very expressive, if…
that’s his problem, no? it doesn’t make him such a douche that you have to avoid his movies, some of which are very good. i side-eye him too, but i’m not missing a scorcese film, because he’s in it
the number of people starring her comment is a bit unsettling.
perfect.
