Most guys shower by just getting wet and drying off, if they are doing it after gym class. In HS we would sometimes do it because it would get so friggin hot. But most guys did not.

I lifeguarded for years on a beach and the cheap trunks would have mesh in them, so all the guys would just cut them out. The mesh irrates the scrotum and gets sand stuck up there.

Yes, sometimes you can just get rubbed a certain way and BAM! Then trying to get it to go down without relief is mission impossible. The more you think about it, the worse it gets.
