Yeah...I know dude. It was the lens - the sensor was just fine. This was a few years ago, and has long since been taken care of.

It’s my old AF-S DX Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G lens...it’s old and heavy as hell, but built like a tank. It survived a few deployments, and isn’t as great as it used to be, but I still love it. It’s my favorite lens to this day.
