An actual compelling product from Nissan.

This car certainly looks to be in good shape, and a similar condition 944 might bring that kind of money, or at least close to it—in stock condition. The mods, though reversible, don’t add to the price they detract a bit. I can’t quite nice price this.

Those Scheel shoulder harnesses are tied in a loose knot behind the rollbar instead of, like, actually bolting them down solid?

I think it’s almost all sentimental value. If this can’t run down a drag strip (even non-competitively) it’s basically worthless. The sum of it’s parts is worth a few grand, everything else is what it’s worth to the person who built it.

I get the feeling that the sentimental value (with the mentioned connection to a friend) is much higher than the actual value. If you’re a dude who likes dragging this around to car shows and just letting it idle for other Boomer Dads to listen to or have such a spacious man cave that this thing would fit in it...I

It is possible to make the case for an historical artifact, but not for a non-functional reproduction. They were great chassis’ run long past their  time in other classes, well into the 1990's.  A fake one ND.

We finally have flying cars and all people can do is complain.

Flying Robots Of Unusual Size?

[Planet Mercury, interior, 1989. The CEO is gathered with his Board around the big table in the good conference room up on Seven.]

Without the beautiful Yamaha V6 we didn’t really miss much here.

My wife is also a woman. Glad to know there’s another guy out there like me. /s

The answer is Buick. Forget the old-people stigma, the Envista starts at $23K, looks amazing, is small, easy to drive, frugal, and pampers you in every luxury way you can dream of. Small enough for the city but can handle a commute with equal aplomb.

CPO Mazda 3 is the correct answer here. The very DEFINITION of “luxury-ish”. Even the turbo ones have decent fuel economy. The hatchbacks aren’t the EASIEST to park because those C-pillars are enormous, but that’s a small price to pay for such a complete package. Maintenance and repairs should be pretty reasonable

At least there wasn’t a handcuffed person locked in the police cruiser this time.

Your math is both technically correct and, in the real world, nonsense.

Plus, you’ll learn how to drive properly instead to having electronics holding your hand the entire time because only proper racecar drivers can actually drive your toy flat out. It’s so stupid, it’s like buying an F16 to fly VFR to lunch once a month.

On acceleration yes, but braking, lateral grip, and aero downforce will all be significantly worse on the bike.

I picture Elmo replying to this lawsuit in an exagerated South African accent ‘Diplomatic Immunity “

You’re not going to beat a Radical around a track on any street-legal motorcycle.

Some really rich folks are just getting into fast cars (cars in general) and buy what their rich friends tell them about...which means big names like Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren, etc. Besides being a status symbol, these cars make them feel like a fast racing driver. Actual lap times don’t really matter.
