Told a co-worker this today. He said the market is hot but a lot of people he knows can’t negotiate “no vaccine required” after they left their old jobs because they were being asked to get vaccinated. He said he was vaccinated, but respected their wishes that they want to have a choice.

It got into a deep

“But it will trickle down to me!!!!”

Well, and the thing is, they are already coming for my money. Like you said, lets start at the top and go from there. I have no disolution that taxing the rich will solve all our tax woes, but it sure as hell won’t make our problems worse.

We also need energy storage. Solar and wind is great, but only when it’s sunny and windy (respectively). Being able to generate more electricy when we have those resources and store it for when we don’t I think is key.

What about buildings? Don’t buildings also slow down wind? Should we stop building buildings? Maybe all buildings should be subterranean so they don’t stop the wind. Or is it only buildings of a certain height?

That is why you have a filter on you outflow to your drain field. I clean my filter out every 6 months. And I have to do this regardless of garbage disposal because as I said, everyone puts solids down the drain one way or another.

Do I have to have my septic pumped more? Possibly, but that should be done every 5 years

Curious where you get your information. Not saying it’s not true, but I’ve never heard any of it. We use a garbage disposal daily (we exclude some things like bones and fats/oils). We do have a septic, but we’ve never once had a failure and the person say “Oh, this is because you use a garbage disposal”. We have PVC

I’ve never understood super smooth creamy potatoes. Then again I’m from the south. I throw the peels in there and mash till it “looks right”. Nothing wrong with lumpy.

for about 5lbs of potatoes I admitedly use about 2 cups of sour cream and 2 sticks of butter (I start with 2 sticks of butter and add up to the 2 cups of sour cream).

I then finish off with heavy cream if it’s still too thick.

I mean, it’s probably not the healthiest thing for us, but I normally only make mashed

I unfortunately (out of need, or so I thought) bought a house in 2006 during the bubble. It has only been the past year that I’ve seen my house come back to and exceed the value I paid for it back then.

It sucks, but at least I know I could sell and barely break even (when you consider how much I’ve put into the house).

We are looking to leave our god foresaken state (FL), but family obligations keep us here for now. I’ve heavily considered selling out house and renting for a year or two because I know the bubble is going to burst.

dammit. I mean I really wish my house was worth what Zillow says it is. I always knew it was high though, but one can dream, right?

Around here housing prices are bad, but landlords are taking advantage of it and rent has skyrocketed. It’s cheaper to have a mortgage on a house than to pay rent. Unforutnately for many young people around here, banks won’t give them mortgages so they are screwed.

People who owned the house next door to us, who never lived in the house, never rented the house, sold the house to some flipper (some 12 years after I moved in). Guy did a crap job and we made it our goal in life to let every single person who loooked at the house know what to look for (the “flat roof” held water,

Chances are the sponsoring exec got out while they thought it was still making money and has moved on to greener pastures. They got their “bonus” and likely a better position at a different company for the great job they did at Zillow.

as DVDDVDDVD.. said above had a good point. If the FEC has no jurisdiction over ballot initiatives, then their response is expected. We don’t need Government Agencies overreaching their powers.

Let Congress give the FEC jurisdiction over ballot initiatives, then let it go back to them.

If you don’t care about PQ, why are you spending $3k on a projector?

My comment was specifically in response to this from above:

The fact that they could pass whatever laws it wants to with no republican involvement yet they can’t seem to pass anything due to infighting.”

That is not true in the current political environment. They have 50 seats, that is not enough to “pass whatever laws

Um, unless I’m mistaken it takes more than 50 senators. You need a super majority for bills. It is my understanding that simple majorities only currently apply to appointments and budgetary bills.

The largest voting block in the US isn’t registered Republican or Democrat. They are registered Independent. By limiting to only the top 2 “parties” you could be disenfranchising over a 1/3 of the population. Sure they may often vote one of the 2 parties, but they may often mix their vote depending on the race.
