Ok then, how about the end of the defenders?

Funny i dont remember this argument made when jessica jones murdered.

And her refusal to kill him cost MANY more lives.

I don’t watch Punisher (or any of the MCU) for political commentary.

What’s more sad is that The Punisher’s popularity with LEOs isn’t utterly destroyed by the following fundamental facts about the character:

“In making Frank its leading man, The Punisher runs the risk of seems intent on demonstrating how a person like its vigilante hero only works a semi-villainous foil to the more grounded heroes around him.”

I thought Trank’s take was interesting- to lean into the body-horror aspects which are very definitely prominent early in the comics. It also a played into another classic aspect fo the team, which is as “explorers of the unkown.”

Also, I think Shulkie would be one of the lowest cost high-power, high-profile Marvel characters to do well on a TV budget.

I think the rights to Hulk are for solo film distribution, so he (and his derivatives) should be clear for TV.

I wish they’d recast Hawkeye and give him one season on Netflix with an interpretation of Fraction’s run.

It’s just that you don’t know what rape is and/or think rape culture isn’t a problem.

I don’t want to know any spoiler other than: Does Lancelot live?

Yeah, we are. Because it’s kinder to him and his family for the world to proceed along with that fiction. The world got what it wanted; so after years of kicking Snyder in the teeth to get it, we can all afford to stop kicking him in this moment when he’s so tragically down.

I shared your opinion of AoU on first viewing. On second and third viewing, it’s not actually convoluted and there’s nothing there to serve another film that doesn’t also serve this one. What it IS, though, is incredibly dense. Way too dense. Yet everything makes sense and has the appropriate connective tissue,

I don’t know, maybe not being asshole? Maybe being respectful of a human being’s loss?

So you can’t see the difference between someone defending their own from violent oppression, and someone imposing violent oppression?

Your point, and the long chain of responses, illustrates one of the main reasons I prefer my Batman comparatively low-tech.

No real disagreement from me. Murder and the death penalty have the same result for the the person they’re applied to.

More important: since it looks like they’re going to be fighting a supernatural/demonic menace... Will Trish be there, and will she be wearing a sash by the end?

I love Martin, but he was the worst performance in that film.
