they’ve been slowly increasing the age of the protagonists. (The oldest ones so far are in X/Y who are in their mid teens.) while also simply not saying how old the characters are. Like any RPG I doubt we’ll see them go past the vague late teen/young adult age, which is fine considering the nature of the games.
