If the venting from the truck shop next door had problems, there could have been any number of other odors from potentially hazardous gases for her to smell. Refrigerants, solvents, paints, fuels. She doesn't say that the carbon monoxide levels that the gas company detected were the cause of the gas or gas-like odor.

You need monounsaturated fats (like traditionally prepared, olive oil-based hummus) to access the nutrients in vegetables (like carrots). Without the hummus, the carrots here are just empty calories.

At eight months, it's likely this baby didn't really want to wean, but went on a nursing strike. I'm surprised to hear the mother went along with the "weaning." All the vegan moms I know are very enthusiastic about long-term breastfeeding. (Not judging anyone's choices, just observing a trend.)

Even if the local big box store has lower prices on certain items, it's still going to cost me more money because I'll invariably pick up something else while I'm there. It's easier to be disciplined with Amazon.

Waaay back in the day, the short-lived Dana Carvey Show did live advertising, to hilarious effect.

The actors included Steve Carrell and Stephen Colbert and the writers included Charlie Kaufman, Louis CK, and Dino Stamatopoulos. My family thought it was terrible, but weird younger me was so sad when it was cancelled

Yes! I can understand Japanese people having concerns over adopting Western notions
