Exactly. Every tech support group I have ever called has been a total embarrassment, except for Apple. I'm not sure how much training they receive, but they definitely earn their wages., because I'vw never had a problem with them.

You're welcome! I've had to contact them a couple of times for super complex issues, and they were always phenomenal. For one of the issues, they had to send a ticket to the engineers, and the guy called ME back the very next day with a solution, so I guess their engineers are super efficient too. Regarding your Apple experience, the high-level person you spoke with was a senior advisor. This sort of support is actually the expected experience with them (IMO), those folks really know what they are doing.
