Not sure what you meant about the cost thing, but I'm an Apple shareholder, and I would not support any move of Apple adding accessories like this with the device, as it decrease revenue per unit shipped. So, it kind of would cost me money, as I'm inclined to believe some shareholders would agree.

I sort of agree. I think if it was a bit darker and scarier, the pitch might have worked. But then again, you have to remember that Nintendo stereotypically develops for a younger crowd, so you have to question how well that actually would have done for box office numbers.
