Yes. A well equipped and well balanced “1/2 ton” is perfectly fine to tow 8k. A manufacturer may sell it as a half ton, but thats not to say it has 2x the suspension of the half ton of yester year.

Im sorry to hear. Maybe VW Canada is drastically different. Im In Canada and have seen so few claims denied Im always puzzled when I hear about that. Of course sunroof leakage is a friggin warrantable issue! My goal is to work for the customer...I don’t really benefit from ripping anyone off.

Working in VW service...vw quality has increased! A modern golf or passat has very good fit and funish compared to similar priced vehicles, miles better then it was from 98 to 2011 or so. I see no reason for VW to try to kower product quality to i crease revenue. Its a backwards strategy and the company isn’t…

I dont know where you get this from. Especially since VW will likely not get fined 18b.
