Its better than an inpreza. It has a few upgraded parts from the sti/wrx parts bin

The 6.5 turbo diesels were also fairly poorly built. With good maintenance and grampa driving they can have reasonable life span, but they are prone to cracked heads, some had bottom end issues and they don’t take abuse as well as a similar era cummins or ford 7.3. The 6.5 was a fuel economy upgrade to gasser…
How did you demonstrate his lack of calibration?
Speeding on public roads isn’t a danger. Speed limits in the US are based primarily upon politics rather than actual research and scientific observation.
Meh. I live in the Greater Vancouver area. Was in the nitty gritty of Hastings today. Its an idillic city with some issues. Really its safe and clean 99% of the time.
Who cares about a platform? Just because basic chassis measurements are shared with a cheaper car doesn’t mean everything from tthe suspension to the electronics havnt been upgraded. The “platform” doesn’t make the car. You oonly need so much r&d. If platform sharing is an issue then maybe talk to the blokes at…
I know the dealer I work for forgot to remove a couple and there was some damage to the strut mounts. I recommwnd having the recall for tbe front end stabilizer done as well.
Wierd,
Or maybe we don't know about the car and it comes into the shop with a slight pull or bad tracking?
LOL.
The service bays at my work are sufficiently cramped that unless you know precisely which angle of approach to take in and out, you will be there for a long while..
Really? A first gen 1.9 litre VW TDI was 90hp and was entirely at home merging, or even cruising along at 110-130 klm/h, even in the passats.
Not at all. I only had a few hair-raising moments when I drove a very tired mk1 VW rabbit diesel with 50> horsepower. Its called building up speed.
Who defines "worth that much"? You? me?
Of course it must be returned uncrashed! Exactly my point. Was any more damage done to a high performance car having its legs stretched than doing what would be the equivalent performance wise from a camary...say doing 60?
I agree the illegality villainizes these actions.
That doesnt mean any problems will appear at say 1400rpm. Somtimes issues show in a small window of speed. Obviously 150mph is not possible, but the more variation in speed the better.
What a moronic idea. Who in their right mind would every subject a clutch to such pointless abuse.
Swaite says that huge spike there is the car hitting 100 MPH somewhere around 11:16, and then braking hard and fast to hit 0 MPH by 11:17. Now, Corvettes can certainly drive that fast, but remember this is one with a still-unsolved transmission issue, and the 100 MPH speeds seem to have been hit in the crappy roads…
Wow. 1984 rabbit na diesel 6-10%jalop.
