Ch-ch-ch-chia!
“Dad?”
I’m slightly surprised that “broke the subframe” isn’t “totalled”.
“This is not a commentary on the durability of the truck. You would be astounded on how tough and capable this truck is.”
There’s already been a few folks who’ve died in their cybertrucks
The cast aluminum chassis sounds like a bad idea.
THIS is the shit I want my insurance to deny.
NOT Debby from Accounting’s heart surgery.
Still love the truck though.
Cybercuck writes, “you would be astounded on [sic] how tough and capable this truck is.”
The real champion is whoever DIES in one first
I dunno, some people can’t complete their daily 5 mile commute without GPS assistance.
The owner is remaining tight-lipped on that topic, and simply said “since the insurance paid for it I won’t comment on how it was driven, just that a very large pothole in our washed-out road caused all the dominoes to fall,” as per their Facebook post.
I could maybe argue the point, EVs in particular truck evs... are quite heavy so hitting a pothole at speed.... ok mayyyybe could do some serious damage.
The mention of a washed out road suggests it was more than a simple pothole. More likely it was a deep rut hit at an irresponsible speed.
‘Front and rear bumpers’ are part of the replacement list? From a pothole? What?
My brand-new pickup with extended warranty AND extended maintence package cost less than that repair fee. Man, I love my Maverick. Sure, it’s not a “truck,” but I did drive over a pothole yesterday and made it home safely (thank God!).
