I didn’t want to buy this game at first, but my daughter has recently started getting interested in video games (Mario, to be specific), and I feel like it’ll be a great game I can play with her because you can co-op to capture Pokémons. The fact it’s easy is even better considering she doesn’t know how to read yet.

This one still gives me nightmares.

I’ve never commented on Kotaku before, though I’ve been a religious reader for 3 or 4 years now. As the account name states, I made this account just so I could wholeheartedly endorse this sentiment. This review was utterly fantastic. It truly transcends the medium of “internet review” and becomes something else

You’re no slouch yourself, Jason. ;)

Seconding this!

Kirk, this is easily the best game review I’ve ever read, but also the best writing of any kind that I’ve read on this website. I enjoyed your creative narrative prose over the the technical trappings of FPS and otherdata.”

This is some f’ed up crap. This is how we allow corporations control everything. I used to not care, but this is getting out of control.

i’m pretty sure everyone in this world is named harry potter, otherwise they wouldn’t have titled the books that. just like they named the game bloodborne after the main character, john bloodborne.

Hey Jason,

Which works wonderfully well on the subway or in a car...

Yesterday, when I pointed out that the Total War series incorporates a lot of historical inaccuracies, I received a reply saying that all of my examples are “gameplay” and I couldn’t tell the difference between that and historical authenticity. So Ill say this as a medieval literature scholar who has learned Latin

To be clear no one should give a fuck about this, but even if they did:

The rest of the update you quote explains why we referred to it as key distinction in the update. It’s not because you or I should care at this point. It’s because it was the justification that people who harassed her used, saying, oh she’s a bad person because she dated so-and-so. That’s a shitty justification, of

Agree, the “I don’t have any politics” thing is super frustrating because it’s a byproduct of privilege. You probably don’t have to worry about politics if you are a straight wealthy white male. But if you have to worry about your family being deported, or about not being able to get the medical services you need
