I didn’t get that vibe from the post like at all. Just a ‘hey this is out again and since nobody’s found it: enjoy’

Well, I’m not much of a one for survival horror type games, so I’ve never played a Resident Evil game. I’m aware that they’re also known for being a bit goofy and that Village is also known for the Big Vampire Lady that’s inspired a whole lot of horniness on Twitter.

Got my second vaccine jab this week, I was prepared for some major side effects but I think it was just my arm hurting (which everyone gets.) So I’ve been chilling with some Final Fantasy XIV and finally making some alts.

Has everyone forgotten the mess that was LA Noire? Rockstar hasn’t been just one series of successes after another. Anyway, I always thought that it was Bethesda that was CD Projekt Red’s rival, not Rockstar.

If you want to play a 3rd person action rpg that is just fun and not really tricky you should try the YS series. I just got the new one, Monstrum Nox and it is ridiculously fun. The last one, Lacrimosa of Dana, was as well.

I slept on Red Dead Redemption because people kept calling it Grand Theft Horse and I really, really hated GTAIV. This was a mistake, this game is fantastic. Reminds me of Yakuza, the story of a man trying to be a good person in a world that doesn’t want him to be, and I like stumbling on all sorts of little things to

I’ve fallen in love with Hitman over the last few days. I was looking for a new game and the buzz was strong for the new entry. The fact that buying it on PC gave me all the Hitman 1 levels was just the icing on top.

I could put you in touch with a gentleman who could help you...

I can’t recommend Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 (2018) enough. They are excellent. As the article says, they’re the essential distillation of the concept, with all the chaff cleared away. I played through most of the main Hitman series over the course of a few months too (up through and including Absolution), but the

When I worked at a game store, my manager was a salesman first and a gamer fuckin’ never. Game Crazy middle management would tell her what game she was pushing, and she’d learn one or two things about it, repeat them ad nauseum, and make shit up if people asked her questions outside of her extremely narrow expertise.

HOLY SHIT!!!!!

I figured she’s 8 feet tall because the moment I saw her, I felt that she’s based on the Japanese urban legend Hachishakusama (literally "8 Feet Tall"), who is about a tall woman dressed in a white dress with a wide brimmed hat, who stalks and abducts children to kill.

I picked up Sonic Generations during the Steam holiday sale on a lark and uh, holy shit. That game is crazy fun! Why don’t we bring it up more often when talking about good Sonic games? It deserves its high place on this list.

Can we just go with XSX and XSS.....or X-Sex and Xcess respectively?

It depends on what you want out of it, I think! If you’ve got TTYD aspirations, it’s nowhere near that. Heck, in some ways it deviated from Color Splash as well, but it’s definitely a CS sequel more than a TTYD one.

It’s unfortunate, but Omega Force and KOEITecmo as a whole has been whiffing hardcore with their hack ‘n slash games lately. DW9 was a flop, Warriors Orochi 4 was better received, but it’s extremely bland and light on alternate modes (and the Ultimate upgrade doesn’t really add anything interesting to the mix).

Well, I liked it in Dark Descent, so I’m liking it here too—it might annoy you even more, though, given how much the early game relies on matches (they burn out pretty fast).

First up, I’m still playing through Inkle’s Arthurian “narrative rogue-like” Pendragon. I went through a run at “melodramatic” difficulty (which I think is the 4th easiest, it’s the highest I’ve unlocked), with Sir Kay as my main character this time:

This weekend is for finally sinking my teeth into Crash Bandicoot 4, after migraines robbed me of the last coupla weekends. I’m a few levels in so far, and it’s fantastic. The game-feel’s perfect, the levels are gorgeous and the voice acting’s charming and funny. It even leans into the series’ tradition of cartoon

I feel your pain.
