I think we got that in Europe. It’s the previous Passat, only with a minor facelift for USA (and of course, as you mentioned, with different engines).

All 190s’ mirrors were like that. It’s not an aftermarket addition. I have no idea why they designed the mirrors that way (asymmetrical).
