I don’t really listen to podcasts, but I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that podcasts probably make money from advertising.

Gen Z can afford to eat at Ruth’s Chris’s weirdly named Steakhouse’s?

How many Popeyes locations are open for breakfast? Is it just airport locations? This is the first time I’ve heard of Popeyes serving breakfast. It’s probably the reason why they’re so low on the list. If only a few locations serve breakfast, it doesn’t make sense to spend the money on developing a better sandwich.

I can’t believe it’s at the point where Greta Lee is a longshot. It seemed she was a lock a few months ago, but now after all the preliminary awards shows, it does indeed seem she is on the outside looking in (Gold Derby as her at #6). It’s a shame, because Past Lives was my favorite movie last year and she was

is he handsome or is he just tall?

I agree wholeheartedly.  Gladstone was the standout.  She deserves the Oscar.  But the film did not need to be as long as it was, and it felt so...ordinary.  I mean, maybe it’s unfair to hold him to a higher standard, but when I go see a Scorsese film, I expect something special, and Flower Moon felt like a movie well

I’m glad Gladstone is getting recognition. She really does draw the eye even when in the same scenes as DiCaprio as many people have pointed out. I was skeptical that Oppenheimer would be my kind of movie, but I was impressed. It’s a real feat, so I think the recognition is deserved. I’m not too heartbroken for

Adam Driver is a wonderful host, but I am begging SNL to stop doing political cold opens. They haven’t been good since Tina Fey was doing Sarah Palin. They aren’t even good impressions anymore. They’re just dire, especially since this focused on a congressional showboating hearing most people didn’t follow.

As an E39 owner, as well, you should probably mainly be concerned about window regulators and the cooling system.

Ahh yes Tesla, the bastion of truthfulness.

Luckily it appears to be damaged right when it rolls out of the factory and all of the fingerprints and smudges will cover up all the dings. I’ve seen a few video “reviews” (in quotes because they appear to just be influencers servicing Musk) this week and the panels are warbly AF.

Considering getting a replacement panel could be x months, or even x years at their current rate of production, people might have to start chopping up old fridge doors.

I think part of the problem is that more or less no shops have any idea how to fix/repair stainless steel. Outside of the DeLorean it hasn’t been used in any vehicles, that I know of.

The other problem is finding repair shops that will repair to sub-micron tolerances.

Jalopnik should start a contest for when the first Cybertruck gets totalled.

Is he done with sexually harassing people, too?

like-minded creatives”

I’m not so sure about that. I think that theory generally holds for horror movies, but Scream is a little different imo. In the same way that people come back to F13 and Nightmare for Jason and Freddy respectively, I think a big part of the franchise appeal for fans is Dewey/Sydney/Gail. And that’s become even more

Based on this I’d imagine Barrera wasn’t fired for her comments, and that was just a smokescreen for scrapping this iteration of Scream because of the loss of Ortega. And I’d imagine Barrera was probably asking for more since she’d now be the sole lead, and they jumped on her posts to pretend it wasn’t because of the

This seems like an example of everyone being reasonable, and just not being able to come to an agreement. Ortega’s a rising big star, and she’s right to request a high salary, particularly if doing another Scream movie would mean turning down work where she would receive this kind of pay.
