ok, i’m 34 and i hate this show. not because it’s not good - in fact, one time it was playing and i got totally wrapped into it without realizing what i was watching - but because i EVERY FUCKING TIME I WATCH iZOMBIE THERE IS AN AD FOR IT WITH THAT SONG “i... paint the pictures....” STOOOOOOOOOOP.
whew. that felt good…
when i watched the coco-sam throwback to their freshman year, i texted my friend saying that i loved colandrea more than anyone else and i worried it was cause of her mirroring whiteness (though i still suspect it’s cause she’s the BEST slash also, the south side of chicago is still a big part of my heart more than a…
and, i’m crying in a starbucks. thanks.
hadn’t seen “shorty spice” yet so i appreciate that...
... now back to my endless screaming.
i don’t want to be a dick, but - that seems like the kind of generalizing deadspin neckbeards do about jezebel maneaters. i’m not saying they don’t exist, but the comments on their article about switzer are normal. in fact, it’s been years since (obvs, only my experience) i’ve really felt deadspin was truly awful.
my first and only consistent reaction to this was - it’s a 5 hour drive. pay someone overtime to drive those four there in a comfy van. that would have cost you significantly less.
thank god. WE AREN’T ALONE!
only vaguely related: i was a little tipsy when watching, but i think the very first episode of midsomer murders has an amabella and had the SAME REACTION
also, lea michele and anne hathaway are from NJ. correlation, not causation?? (very very proud jersey girl here, natch.)
this is why i love her so much. i just... i just get it. also? i get being hated for being peppy. which broke my heart for a good portion of my 20s but in my 30s i’m just like - fuck you, s’my life.
Not to totally miss the point, but Tina actually did say they could watch both. She said just do two screens. The article you cited quotes her fully and makes the point that the headlines around her interview are totes unfair (my words, not theirs).
i recommend a baseball bat.
there was an article about this somewhere yesterday... (googling) ... (oops just kidding i must have read it on twitter yesterday because of this but anyway the point is) - EXACTLY YOU ARE SO RIGHT. https://www.nationaljournal.com/s/27043/why-some-male-members-congress-wont-be-alone-with-female-staffers?utm_source=twit…
one of my absolute favorite bits of casablanca is that - they didn’t KNOW they were going to win the war. so when lazslo says, “welcome back to the fight, this time i know we’ll win” - they DIDN’T KNOW. i just can’t get over that.
i think this movie is just the best piece of art ever made, ever. because of the reasons…
ya i’m surprised that part of hte vanity fair piece didn’t make it in here...
“Let’s go ahead and make the wild assumption that they’re all working together to write the screenplay for a movie that’s part First Wives Club, part Working Girl, and part Morning Glory.”
heheheheheh good burn.
weirdly enough, i didn’t *love* the live action cinderella (cause, that’s a thing called rodgers and hammerstein’s cinderella so why did we need this one??) but i’m super excited about this. mostly because i love josh gad, i think.
i mean there is no way in hell i thought scar or jafar was gay. sebastian, sure. but both scar and jafar strike me as “nice guy” types. insidiously evil.
