This sounds absolutely AWESOME! The drawback for me - I don’t think it would taste anything like peanut butter. I LOOOOVE me some peanut butter. Not for samiches, but for crackers, definitely!

It’s just worth a try. In my current apartment, I replaced approximately 70% of my incandescent bulbs (12 if I recall correctly, 4 or 5 stayed incandescent for specific reasons) with CFL, and only noticed a drop in my electric bill by about 10% with no change in daily lighting habits. It was a change, but not very…
Almost closed on a new house. Plan on replacing as many bulbs as possible with LED, and replacing some light fixtures. I’ve tried CFL, but they don’t make much of a difference over incandescent.
I can’t stand the ‘store’ brands or major brands that are full of sugar, so I only eat jars of peanut butter that have ‘Peanuts’ as the only ingredient, or an additional ingredient - ‘Salt’. Of course, this means, it’s separated right from the store. My usual places to purchase: Trader Joe’s, Fresh Thyme, Target. …
Animatronic, maybe?
I was kind of excited to see that, too (I know - bad, right?) and felt some relief. I normally eat four scrambled eggs with bacon bits (real, not Facos) and sharp cheddar every other morning. My wife was concerned until our physical exams last year when my cholestorol was normal, and hers was unfortunately high…
The one dish that I’ve always wanted to attempt (just because Gordon Ramsey makes it look SO delicious and because it’s a challenge) is Beef Wellington. Water-bathing is the best technique anyone could have brought to the table to make this dish oh-so-more possible. I no longer fear and question the royal cuisine.
To eat. I’m not sure why, but since I was a kid, the only part of the egg that I truly like is the yolk. Full of flavor and other stuff, unfortunately for some - cholesterol.
And most people wonder why some want to live off the grid.
What’s even more sad (or not) is that the last ‘social media’ site that I actually had a ‘web page’ (brace yourself kids, this is old-school) was Geocities. Those were the days - just your own creation made from HTML and gifs. Javascript optional, but sometimes dazzling.
I totally agree. I just hate being lumped in with the ‘stupid’.
I agree, this does happen with many employers especially with salary positions (which I currently hold), and I commend you for trying to bring attention to it. Thank you for the info.
IT Support person here. The only social media presence I have is LinkedIn. I don’t hate other platforms, but the activity that goes in with FB, Twitter, Instagram, etc. It’s like a bunch middle school kids that get all giddy about their latest ‘awesome selfies’. I almost feel like I’m unsulting middle school-aged…
Like most places of employment today, I’m guessing you are a member of a union. I’m not saying that’s bad, I’ve been a member of a union and quite happy with the support it gave to myself and fellow colleagues. I completely understand that your time is your time unless paid and being profoundly early is a contract…
The Monty Python reference alone is worth the star!
You got a laugh from me. :)
I’m not an expert, but if you are both right, then yes - this would be a good idea in a pinch for temporary use only....as if you were in an emergency situation. It’s still good knowledge to have in case someone is in need of emergency water, just not on a regular basis.
I agree. Not that many people would have a contraption like this handy at any time, but if you can whip something up like this up in a jif, distilling the water is the better alternative to drinking the water blindly and hoping Montezuma doesn’t visit you.
I’m the same way. Mushy bananas are for making bread or if you have no teeth. For me, the taste is even better with slightly greenish bananas, not just the texture.
Always the best idea in my little world.
