I know that pain, too, unfortunately. It’s great when we get new equipment or software. We (the IT people) get excited...not because it’s like Christmas morning for us (like most people see it), but more of a sigh of relief that we’ll have something more reliable implemented.

“Everything is working fine. What do you do here all day?”

Horribly and unfortunately, but you are spot-on. Most people now do not actually *THINK* about the latest craze that someone started somewhere. Just to ‘be a part of something’ they jump right in. Sad.

My wife and I reuse every bag we have. We never get new bags at stores whether they are plastic, paper or any other type. We have our dozen or so bags (combination of cloth and plastic) that we treat well and have reused for years. This is mostly about the ability (or lack thereof) of people to use any common sense

Thank you. I can’t say that enough.

I blame my own Generation (X) for poor parenting of these heathens. Instead of procreating for the sake of having children to raise as decent humans, enjoy the prospects of family and have someone to carry on your good name, I fear most of these people have children for tax credits and image. They let someone else

You make a very good point about traits. My wife and I are not specifically looking for certain traits, but rather a dog with a personality that clicks with ours (mostly just friendly and active). That’s how we found our current furry friend. I had not considered different breeds having different behavior

Specific reasons like allergies I can understand. That’s not negotiable. The people whom with I disagree are the people who purchase a Yorkie or Maltese (or other fancy breed) from breeders because they are popular, flashy breeds that look good. It’s like picking out your children from a vending machine based on

You actually make a very good point. I’m not on either side to defend, just elaborating a bit more depth on HesterMofet’s point. HesterMofet appears to be a bit more emotionally involved, though. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Personally, I’m in favor of adopting, but others have issues with that and would

I think it’s more about the fact that people who have the money (especially certain celebrities) purchase pets from breeders rather than adopt loving animals that have been abandoned by soulless people or otherwise and just need a loving home. I’ve had 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and a goldfish in my life. The only one

I totally agree with alot of the new hype about ‘bad foods’ being over-promoted. There are so many diet fads out there now that claim to make you healthier. The sad fact is everyone has different DNA and their bodies react differently to all sorts of different foods.

Totally agree. I worked fast food for a few years right out of high school and never understood why people would check their food right there at the window, holding everyone else up. Then, later in life, I discovered why some people do it. When you visit fast food joints enough times that your order gets messed up and

Sadly this happened more than one would think at my first job....Burger King. It wasn’t so bad that customers ordered this way to get fresh fries (I get it), but most of them would become impatient assholes that their ‘fresh fries’ were taking too long to cook thoroughly in hot oil (and want fresh burgers made because

That I would probably try, just to give it a chance. Actual ‘cooked’ avocados? It’s a mushy mess that appeals to me as much as an over-ripe banana pile of goo.

Wow, that sounds awesomely delicious!

This is my plan, almost exactly. The only two additions: I’m cremated and the first song played will be Monty Python’s ‘Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life’.

Stop moving the pump around on them!

You poor soul. That must have been a horrible experience. At least I can always count on Claire to keep me on the straight and narrow with food.

I’ve never even tried this and it doesn’t sound appealing at all. The raw avocado is perfect as-is with a pinch of salt as stated by a food genious above. I’m not a fan of the average millennial mindset, but avocado toast is actually a nice tasty snack on occasion. Sometimes it beats out peanut butter toast for me.
