Also remember, some parents are single parents. How that outcome came to be differs. Some are just couples that can’t keep their crap together after they have a child, and some of them have a child to try to stay together (which is a horrible idea). Some lose their loved ones to accidents, and some have other

Now I know what kind of reactions I’m already going to get when I say that I do not personally have kids myself. When someone is observant of their surrounds, they do not always have to be *in* the situation themselves. Outside views are useful, too.

I buy Trader Joe’s salted creamy natural peanut butter. What I do is shake the jar (in a rotating motion, like a paint can) for a minute or so (helps loosen and mix the oil/butter), then use a butter knife to mix it better. The shaking actually takes this process down from 10 to 15 minutes of tearing up my shoulder

Sad, but true. I could not stop laughing at this.

I’ve been doing this exercise for about 6 months now. I work 3rd shift from 10:30pm to 6:30am as IT support in a production plant, and I tend to wake up numerous times during the day. This type of deep breathing and actually thinking about and concentrating on the breaths actually gets me back to sleep very quickly.

Still one of my favorite movies!

Teamviewer is so much better than VNC. Not quite DameWare (costs alotta money), but has many of the features and is actually pretty smooth. My current favorite.

I *LOVE* Teamviewer. I can remote into my laptop at home while I’m at work. I tried getting my wife to let me install it on hers in case she has any problems, but she’s not fond of that IT black magic. It freaks her out.

Ah, memories.... I did the same. 2400bps USR external modem (to start). Batch files were the tools of the smart ones. I actually had a problem getting in due to high call volume to the bank of modem lines, so I wrote a batch file to redial of it did not connect. I forget which terminal program it was, but it

Yep...that guy’s beyond nuts.

Another good point - this one holds the phone wrong. I prefer widescreen photos - they make better for desktop wallpapers, etc. Plus, I don’t know anybody who watches TV in the upright position....

I second that. I don’t mind giving up the charging port if I’m out and about trying to take totally rad photos, but I really don’t like the fact that it uses the charging port to hold up the phone. That’s way too much stress on a critical point of the device. I can see three months down the road my charging port

I remember finding radio stations across the country and listening with RealPlayer on a crappy stream because my dialup connection was only 28.8K. I found so many songs that way that wouldn’t be played in my local area.

GeoCities - when expressing yourself with a web page was simple. I, too, miss it.

I don’t remember my number, but I do remember I got in *WAY* early and mine was only 6 digits. I’m old.

Ah, the days of just trying to get *a* connection with your modem because either your line or the BBS’s line was static-y and the phone company refused to acknowledge that there was a noise issue because it was perfectly suitable for voice conversations. That was ambition and perseverance. Up until 10 years ago, I

I’m only 39 and I remember all of that. 39 must be the new 80. :)

I remember when it first went up. They were right to never change it. I hope it is the one permanent fixture from yesteryear that *NEVER* goes way.

Ditto.

There’s no meaning left.
