Ah, the days of just trying to get *a* connection with your modem because either your line or the BBS’s line was static-y and the phone company refused to acknowledge that there was a noise issue because it was perfectly suitable for voice conversations. That was ambition and perseverance. Up until 10 years ago, I

I’m only 39 and I remember all of that. 39 must be the new 80. :)

I remember when it first went up. They were right to never change it. I hope it is the one permanent fixture from yesteryear that *NEVER* goes way.

Ditto.

There’s no meaning left.

*BEST* *POST* *EVER*

One of the issues I’m dealing with right now is finding the right diet to help my Hidradenitis Suppurativa. There’s no 100% solid research or a cure for it, but diet has been shown to help. The most at-home research people have found is that it involves an autoimmune factor and reducing or eliminating grains, other

I am a recovering smoker as well (15 years - my wife and I both quit about 5 years ago), and we just changed our diet drastically as well as started regular nightly walks about 8 months ago when she found out she has diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. We both want to try running, but we weren’t sure

Seconded.

Totally agreed. I know what I want, I find it myself (if anyone asks if I need help, my response is almost always ‘Nope, I’m fine, but thank you.’), and I use the self-checkout if AT ALL possible. Quick trips, nobody gets hurt.

Agreed - * times infinity

I second that. Watered-down coffee is *the worst* to me. Gotta have full flavor.

This mix sounds like heaven on a slab of meat! I’m in.

Everyone expects companies to be truthful about their products, but we all know that’s not the case. What can be done more immediately - fight for these companies to be honest or actually read labels?

Sounds like a super-juicy ‘mess-burger’. If I wanted that, I’d get a Big Bufford from Rally’s. Completely understand the diner strategy, but for slower, controlled home cooking...not so sure.

Same here. Manufacturing plant IT with 600'ish employees. There is another higher level of Corporate IT above us that has more control than we do, but we’re *WAY* too busy with daily issues to normally monitor anybody unless there’s a specific request. Our only monitoring duty on a regular basis is to watch the

I just have to throw this in the mix. I commend those who want to utilize bicycles rather than motor vehicles, as they are a healthier and a more economical option. However, roads were originally built for horse carriages, then motor vehicles and we added bike lanes later. Most bicyclists now want motor vehicles to

Can’t agree more. Traffic exiting/entering the race can cause accidents with so many people lane-shifting to accommodate them. If three or more lanes, the right lane should be for ingress/egress only.

Drivers here in Michigan are *just as bad* for performing this circus act.
