Agreed, just take a dang screen shot and re-post it here.... ugh. This site is so lazy.

The roofs don’t need to be flat, they just have to be sloped to the south. And there are options that aren’t roof mounted.

It’s not bizarre at all. In 2018, about 20% of the renewable power generated in California was wasted because peak power generating hours don’t coincide with peak use hours.

It’s expensive.  I live in Texas and just had solar installed 16 440Kw panels on an Enphase system and you are looking at around 20K.  I”m no solar DIY so it was professionally done, I’m sure there are folks who can do it all themselves but even then there is a good deal of cost and expertise needed.

County, state, and federal incentives netted us ~$25k when we wrote a check for a new roof and solar/battery system a little over a year ago.  Now we get a yearly check from PG&E, which we’ve set aside to go towards our first BEV.  More than likely another Scout.

I’m just here for comments from people who have never been to or can’t afford to live in CA chiming in about how bad our state is.

Don’t throw stones Jeep

If you were to explain dealers to a 6 year old they’d look at you like you’re insane.

I’d rather it go to the manufacturer who designed and built a desirable vehicle, than to a middle man who brings no value to the table.

There’s a dealer up here trying to sell a red RS to some sucker for $50k. I wish them luck.

Which part did you not think you would say?

Instead, there’s leatherette on the heavily-bolstered front buckets and back bench

Same here. They do look good.

Kia Carnival starts at $32,600.

This sounds like 99% will be for work, so lease accordingly for IRS shenanigans.

Do you have a dryer?

You’ve got valid points, but there’s a scale problem. A rich person buying a $60-$80k Tesla is one thing, someone making $50k/yr that lives in an apartment and has no charger outside buying a BEV is another. Someone who lives in southern Cali that doesn’t have to worry about cold related range issues is one thing,

Yeah, a Jeep is a uniquely styled convertible with removable doors. I can see a ton of appeal to that even if you never go off road.

But regardless of your opinion re: British train fare, the worst part of that screen shot is the idiotic statement “travel allowed via any permitted route,” which is exactly the same as saying “routes included in this fare are the routes included.”

*London train commuters look around nervously*
