I’ll say I ‘know’ a BMW tech who told me they know when the car is serviced if the computers have been messed with. The dealership can then refuse servicing. But the legality of it is really murky. Do you actually sign something when you buy/lease the car saying you won’t mess with the computers? And how do they prove…
