I hammer a friend of mine for doing this. His Tundra on a good day got awful MPGs, now it’s in single digits due to his stupid massive tyres and roof tent which he has used, but say, 8 times total in 2 years of daily commuting with it on.

I fixed it -

I know 3 people who have an Explorer. 1 has constant HVAC issues, been back to the dealer three times. 1 had the roof rack peel away from the roof after 2 months. That went back and got fixed, but it’s shoddy work. One the front passenger door is so misaligned you can see it’s off from 20 feet away.

It’s genuinely dis-proportionally ugly. The grill looks awful but we expected that. The proportions at the rear end around the gap from the rear windows to the wheel arch leaves a huge piece of blank metal.
