I love s2 and think at its best it is a near perfect blend of comedy and action. My only problem with it is sort of unfair,  when rewatching those episodes I miss characters who haven’t joined the team yet, especially my girls Zari and Ava.

From the info I’m getting from you and others, it seems like Klemmer and Keto Shimuzu, writer who has risen through the ranks of Arrowverse staff to become a writer/producer on L0T, are two of the key creative contributors behind the show’s revamp.

LoT’s creators indeed aren’t as well known as most cult sci-fi/fantasy shows. The several reasons for this: this was developed by a lot of people, so it’s hard to find the one or two people who came up with the concept and ushered the show into existence, like with Joss Whedon, J. Michael Straczynskiy, Gene

The problem is they’ve always tried setting things in a future city which ... they don’t really have the budget to do well. They need to do a more isolated, self-contained setting.

Mick later called them “the stupid hawk-chicken people,” but Sara’s line was more succinct and I think even better

Can’t argue that Legends only became one of the best shows on TV when it pivoted into full-on action comedy, but I would suggest that, from “Raiders of the Lost Art” on, Season 2 proved that it actually had a pretty good handle on what it could be if it had been content to just stay “a sci-fi superhero show with

Much as I love Captain Cold on Legends, his iconic moment for me will always be peering at Barry over the rim of a Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer mug full of cocoa that he has helped himself to in Barry’s home.

Caity Lotz has the right kind of charisma to be the lead of a show like this. She can do comedy, action and has really grown as a dramatic actress.

Another issue with the Hawkpeople is that they’re positioned as being Vandal Savage’s archenemies ... until the show actually starts, and all the focus is put on Rip being Savage’s archenemy, which leaves Kendra to mostly spend her time in love triangle plots.

I think the show started becoming great when it dumped the elements from s1 that didn’t work, started taking itself less seriously, and perhaps most crucially, when Sara Lance became the captain & Caity Lotz  essentially became the star of the show (at their Comic Con panels she started getting the center seat the

Just watch S2 onward. If you’re desperate for goofiness, you could go straight to S3, but personally I think that would be a mistake, because S2 is great.

One of the (many) problems with “the Hawkpeople” in the first season of the show is that all of the other Legends that Rip gathers are established supporting characters in the other CW shows. Even Captain Cold and Heatwave, who had only appeared a few times in The Flash, were established enough so that we *knew* those

Gary Green is all the man you need.

I followed it from the top. I endured the first season in large part because of the gems in the cast, especially (at that time) Wentworth Miller, who did a ton of heavy lifting along with Dominic Purcell to make me give any kind of a crap about what was happening. The bad guys trying to break good was a pretty great

I think I remember almost choke laughing myself to death when the poofy blue heart waved out from the impact zone. Christ in diapers, what a glorious show.

Wet Hot American Bummer is especially impressive because the original script had a sizable role for Nick Zano, which had to be very hastily rewritten when his daughter was born with surgery-requiring complications. It’s so seamless you’d never know this was an issue.

I used to be a barista, and I can’t believe how far the show has come in all this time!

It is amazing how far the show came from Season 1.  I don’t know of any show that recovered so well from such a bad start and was able to keep going for years.

Legends Of Tomorrow is one of the best shows on television. It also once featured a season-long storyline with a character getting his nipple bitten off by a unicorn, then later having his nipple restored but possessed by a demon from the time it spent in hell, and then using the possessed nipple to hypnotize people

Izabela Vidovic is so good as young Kara. She previously played Charlotte on The 100, the youngest and most tragic of the 100, and Isobel on iZombie, who had a fatal disease. Then in her first episode on Supergirl, her only friend was murdered. It is nice for her to have Kenny back and hopefully having nothing else
