What’s the reasoning behind having a voting process? Most/all of these can claim to be influential in their genre or invented it outright, is there debate over whether some of these qualify or is there some other legalese that dictates why only a few can be inducted a year?

For all intents the $35 is for Episode Aigis and would be $35 even without the music/costume packs. They’re such a minimal inclusion I never expected Atlus would split them out. How long did the original FES version take to complete and what did it add? $35 sounds absurd but if this ends giving 20+ hours of gameplay

What gets me is the copy reads like someone’s first pass/placeholder before corporate goes in and massages it with more neutral words. Same thing with an in-game menu I saw where the controls are literally called “Tank Controls” as opposed to “Classic” or “Original.” I mean we all colloquially called it tank controls

Just watching the bit it’s such an awkward moment. I assume the interviewer figured she would take a more self deprecating tone “Oh yeah, haha, I can’t believe it either!” sort of thing. Not like it’s the first time anyone’s been asked about something going viral for the wrong reasons. But the two of them have no

Oh I’m fully aware of her bs from 3 years ago. The fact that (at least in my social media sphere) I haven’t heard her name come up again until this week and I was going to be at Fan Expo anyway softened things from a hard no to a maybe...and now back to a hard no.

For the past week I was considering getting her autograph at Fan Expo in two weeks. So much for that. Speaking of which, I wonder how her appearance will go down when she’s beefing with one of the franchises she’s best known for.

I’m pretty sure it’s this. I have no idea if the Disney+ shows are contracted like network shows where you sign on for x number of seasons, but given the inconsistent production cycles I kind of doubt it. Plus can Carano even be called a regular on the show? Seems like everyone except Pedro Pascal and his doubles

I thought about that too - when this design was reported last year I figured the wheels wouldn’t even touch the fake track and thereby give a bit of unseen wiggle room, but if they’re designed to roll along the fake track then yeah the maintenance would have to be pretty exact. All that said I think the chances of

I think Robot Chicken has ruined me for stop-motion animation. I knew going in the series was wholesome, but I kept bracing for something really crass to happen. Especially when you get dialogue like “I was told my job was to show the Pokemon a good time” - how does that not instantly smash cut to Haru taking the

You’re going to cherry pick across 4 years and leave out Top Gun Maverick, Everything, Everywhere All At Once, Avatar 2, Turning Red, etc. from the 2020s? And try to convince me in the same breath that Never Say Never Again is some certified classic?

I thought this was on a par with the first one which was fine, but pummelled the viewer into submission with an overload CG. Going in with that expectation I think I actually enjoyed this more; Patrick Wilson is a great co-lead and I really enjoyed his banter with Jason Momoa. If there was supposed to be more Amber

I watched The Boy and the Heron with only a vague knowledge of who was in the cast, and immediately thought it was Willem Dafoe doing a Green Goblin-esque cackle as the Heron. Imagine my shock when I learned it was Pattinson doing his best Dafoe Goblin impersonation. Conversely Hamill’s voice is so distinctive now

I’m curious what response, if any, Capcom will have. Compare the recent Mortal Kombat 1 paid Fatality backlash where WB/NRS at least made a half-hearted attempt by eventually bundling 3 paid fatalities together. But I find western complaints often fall on deaf ears to overseas developers, whether it’s because some of

One aspect of piracy that’s less discussed is the files typically have less DRM and platform restrictions. You’re less likely to be locked to a specific console or player which removes one of the primary concerns with digital about losing access based on the whims of the studios. I think it’s one of the reasons

I wonder how much of the title sequence design, theme, the TARDIS set will get revamped when Ncuti Gatwa takes over. IIRC the 10th Doctor inherited most of the design elements from the Christopher Eccleston season, likely because there wasn’t budget enough to start over. But with that sweet Disney money, who knows?

See, I don’t think there needed to be a surprise at all. Don’t spend all of ep 1 pretending to re-tell the Scott Pilgrim story (relatively) beat for beat before the swerve. The show is built on the idea of meta narratives, start the show at the Matthew Patel fight, do a quick recap/refresher of how things got here,

To echo my sentiments from the review thread - I absolutely enjoyed the Netflix series and its changes, it fleshes out a bunch of characters that were only broadly sketched out in the original. I can sympathize with creators who want to shake things up and not rehash the same story over and over.

I don’t see making the previous seasonal stuff available for purchase any different from what they did in MK11, which was that a random selection of stuff you could earn in-game would show up in the game’s store and rotate through. But hey, glad this exploit exists. A glitch prevented me from unlocking Havik during

I guess the question is at what point do NRS and its parent WB Games stop being separate entities? I know fans like to picture Ed Boon and NRS heroically trying to push back against Zaslav’s greedy monetization policies, reality is there’s probably a lot of groupthink all around and the NRS team are pitching some of

Nintendo used to have this feature, right? I remember someone gifted me the NES TMNT game on the Wii Virtual Console, and my brother got me one of the Shantae games.
