Thing is, that’s what made the original movie work -- it knew just how much or little plot to have. Mostly little. But it managed somehow not to complicate things, despite Liu Kang basically being on a separate heroic track from Cage/Blade.

I enjoyed MK11's plot up until the random story exit of the Cage family, which was really confusing considering Johnny and Sonya’s (and then Cassie’s) importance in the MK9/X/11 story up until then. It’d be like Ron and Hermione just bugging off for good halfway through “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”.

They’ve adapted other famous Superman stories in the past so they could adapt Whatever Happened to Man of Tomorrow? with Nyxly in the Mxyzptlk role and Lena in the Lois role. However, that seems unlikely since it would cost a lot of money to do properly. It’s just an idea that I’ve kicked around for a while.

For some reason, the techno problem solving this season is striking me as especially ludicrous but I can pinpoint why it feels more that way than any other show. With Brainy here and Chester on The Flash always on, it’s nice to finally see someone unmoved by nonstop pop culture references. It’s getting to a point where I want someone to deliver a Larry David-style “Shut the fuck up.”

My theory is that Nyxly is every bit as insane as her father said, and Mxy will be horrified that Kara let her out of the Phantom Zone. They’ll need to team up to stop her.

As I watch the episodes of this season, I can’t help but think about how in twenty years someone streaming them for the first time will have an a-ha moment when they realize that the coronavirus was why the actors mostly stand six feet apart.

Nyx sure turned fast. If only she hadn’t let her daddy issues get the better of her, she could have been on Earth causing havoc.

-Kara breaking the mirror to keep Nyxly from doing horrible things to Earth, knowing that it’s Kara’s best way home, reminded me of Giles saying “it has to be [better]” and destroying the Wishverse in Buffy. Great Kara moment, both in choosing the potential self-sacrifice and believing she’ll find a better way.

I didn’t think anything in this episode made it worse than the first two did. Honestly I’m just going to pretend the Kelly-doesn’t-know/told-her-offscreen sequence didn’t happen, which I already have practice doing from the storyline with Kara’s mom.

• I really hope that the princess was lying, and that she’s really a twisted being that her father imprisoned for a just cause.

I would honestly prefer the show to just end without a big finale. Have them stop telling stories about these characters, but show the characters will go on living and fighting crime the same way. I would think Brainy would have to return to the future, but the rest can stay. That leaves the door open for guest…

I wouldn’t have expected Brainy and Lena to be such a great pairing together but they are!

I quite liked Nyxly. Much more interesting then the other 2 imps.

For a few years, it felt like they were just as unsure what to do with Caitlyn/Danielle as Iris/Candice. Like Iris, the former has been served very well this season and it’s been a big part why I’ve been enjoying this season so much.

As a reminder, just because some Chinese country says it’s P5, doesn’t make it P5.  Until Sega/Atlus says it is actually related to the franchise, this is a Chinese Knock Off, which they get away with due to them having their own copyright laws they follow, ignoring the rest of the world.
