It's the emphasis at the end that really makes it. It lookes like Fiennes is going to be awesome in this.

Clearly you were very complacent in the typing of your comment.

Downvoted!

So this is what the down votes are for!

I ordered it the second I stopped reading the review.

I just saw Blue Jasmine on Wednesday, and that ending was absolutely heartbreaking.

I think a lot of those kinds of elements in The Shining; continuity errors, impossible windows, doors that shouldn't go anywhere, are there to create the feeling in the viewer's subconscious that SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT, to scare and unsettle the viewer in ways they might not even notice.

The Native American stuff certainly does seem intentional to me. In fact I read the film as at least in part a comment on Americans seeming doomed to repeat the tragedies of their forebears, especially with the way Jack and Grady seem to very deliberately and spitefully use the word n***er in the bathroom scene. Also,

But Todd found a Turtle in that bush!

erm… I love that episode.

I would laugh but it still hurts too much.

Dude, it's in the paragraph at the top of the article.

Probably my favourite track from FutureSex/LoveSounds, which is definitely an achievement.

This show is going a small way towards making the Happy Endings pain go away.

Just more Michael Stuhlbarg in everything.

@avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus + Chris Mckenna, Starburns and the Russo Brothers. I don't know where some people's weird negative attitude is coming from when it has nigh on exactly the same staff as seasons 1 & 2.

I suppose of course that comedy is subjective, but I've sat through a few episodes of Lorre sitcoms and not even come close to laughing once, and am not fond of the idea of having to sit through any of them again.

I don't understand how anyone can live in a world where all those shows aren't excruciatingly unfunny. My experience is that the best to be hoped for from a Chuck Lorre show is that it isn't mean and offensive to go with the lack of anything actually funny.

It's true, we're awful.

I've heard people say "haitch" before, but that's probably just because they instinctively feel like there should be an "h" in there. Other than that I think it's just loveable cartoon cockneys.
