I’ve been wondering about places locally that do a Full English as takeaway? Do fried eggs really travel that well?

Pure Leith

Kippers, Kedgeree, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, braised haddock and a poached egg, all fine. These days, I’d even go for cockles, bacon and lavabread.

It is a singular madness.

Apparently we import 16 per cent of our milk and 98 per cent of that is from EU countries. Whereas 98 per cent of our dairy exports are/were to EU countries, although since that seems to have plunged post-Brexit and during the pandemic it’s possible there is a surplus building somewhere.

At the 20th Anniversary Doctor Who Convention the cafe at Longleat laid on a special breakfast treat - fish and chips! I really did not want that at 7am.

McDonald’s UK say they source their milk from UK farms, so it seems to be a haulage issue.

We know the quality of milk is important, so in every frothy coffee, satisfying tea, warming porridge and Happy Meal® milk bottle, we only use semi-skimmed organic British milk. Our use of organic milk even won us the 2017 Compassion in World Farming Good Cow Commendation. Not bad, eh?

Last time McDonald’s took milkshakes off the menu it was because they were being thrown at politicians.

I’ve never heard of Panda licorice. But the thing about M&S, at least back in the day, was that all they sold was own brand products under the St Michael label.

Somebody should ask Trump if he knows the difference between Stormy Daniels and a Cadbury’s Creme Egg?

Their loss!

I’ve got this weird memory of a burger chain being sued for putting too much ice in fizz. Basically, a large Coke didn’t have much Coke relative to all the frozen water.

Coming back to that square mile in central London for a sec, which is by its nature a bit of a tourist trap, while I was working in the area there were a number of shops targeting ex-pat Aussies, Kiwis, South Africans, Canadians, and to a lesser extent, Americans. Some of it was kind of novel. However, last time I

Smartie people are happy people they smile all the time. Orange Smarties were the best until Nestle got hold of them. M&Ms are a poor substitute for Treets (which I believe are still available in Germany). Also, who needs M&Ms when you have Revels?

Come on, Right-wingers won’t eat Turkish Delight because it sounds foreign.

Some Hershey’s and Reece’s stuff pops up in UK shops, but I’d contest the idea that a tv-led nostalgia is the driving factor.

No, this is a Marathon.

Panda brand

Somehow they fail to mention that the original, Cyber Candy, went bust a few years back.
