During the Bread Strike I walked up to Plumstead after school and queued for an age outside an independent bakery. The line was excessively long but eventually I was able to buy two bloomers. The best loaves ever - and a little hero moment when I got home with them.

Fish are obviously vegetables in Burger kingdom.

PS I’ve just noticed that King Fish - three fish fingers in a burger bun - gets lumped in with the Veggie Bean Burger, Kids Veggie Burger, and Garden Side Salad.

Their Veggie Bean Burger lives on though.

I think I have forgotten. But Burger King and Pizza Hut have done some nice X-Men and Thunderbirds stuff in the past.

What about the toys in a box of cereal?

Chicken breakfast? Is that egg on toast?

Just the steak (with some blue cheese and a bit of cress on top). The chap who owns the place said most people buy two or three dishes, but I wasn’t budgeting for a £30 lunch.

Funnily enough I had steak at a tapas place yesterday. Very nice, but I’m still not sure it qualifies as a meal?

You would at least be happy girls and boys:)

EatSoup is a much missed magazine.

I lived for cliffhangers back in the day.

Marmite burgers are the best.

It remains an ambition to eat swan.

Never started. Halloween wasn’t really a thing when I was a nipper. We had Penny for the Guy but my parents didn’t approve of that, so that was off the table as well.

I am currently addicted to Marmite Peanut Butter but have yet to make a sandwich with it.

Why are Mummy’s hands so soft and gentle?

You can even hold it in one hand while you’re driving.
